She pelted in, her eyes blurry and her fur fluffed up scaredly. She crawled into a corner of her den and curled up tightly, wrapping her tail around herself for comfort and she finally buried her face in her paws and cried

She decided it was much safer here than out there and he had really hurt her. Even if he came and found her she'd see him as how he had looked out in the clearing

She pushed the thought aside and continued crying, her sobs echoing through the den

Ginger finally stopped crying, but she sniffled and her eyes were red from crying

Conny padded in.

She didn't look up even though she scented him and could hear him
